This is where the mighty Beas River originates and nourishes the entire Kullu Manali valley in its way before it enters Punjab at Kapurthala and later joins with Sutlej.
Beas Kund happens to be one of the most famous treks around Manali and takes one into the rarely populated lush green meadows surrounded by several snow-capped high altitude peaks where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seven Sisters, Mt. Hanuman Tibba, Mt. Friendship Peak, Shitidhar peak and Ladakhi peak. Surrounded by vibrant green grasslands and further guarded by these massive peaks, sits the mighty Beas Kund in its mesmerizing emerald and aquamarine shades.
Best Time To Do Beas Kund Trek:
This trek can be done 7 months of the year, But the best time to do this trek is from the beginning of May to the end of October, Do You know why?

Beas Kund Trek in Winter: winter is not a good choice for this trek, it can be risky during winters. there are some avalanche areas on this trekking route but we consider Patalsu Peak Trek as the best winter trek of Manali, because it’s a safe snow loaded trek with mesmerizing winter view of mountains and Valley.
Weather And Temperature in Beas Kund Trek:
Weather you know Beas Kund Trek is a high altitude trek so the weather remains cool in most of the months here, on this trek you can expect little warm days and cool nights during the trek, so trekkers should prepare themselves according to the weather.
Temperature:
The temperature also changes in the weather accordingly.
During the winter the temperature drops down from 0 degrees Celsius to -9 degrees Celsius.
During the Summer when the sun comes out, it is quite comfortable to trek. The temperature is 6 – 12 degrees Celsius during the day and the nights with a temperature of 0 degrees Celsius to 5 degrees Celsius in summer.
Things To Carry On This Trek:
Good quality Trekking Shoes with good grip and ankle support.
Poncho/raincoat At high altitudes, snowfall and rain are quite common and it’s mandatory to carry a poncho.
You need to carry warm clothes with single layer feather/fiber warm jacket, fleece or down feather jacket. Carry 2 full-sleeved t-shirt. For lower and cotton pants suitable for trekking. Do not carry jeans or shorts for trekking.
3 pairs of woolen socks
Thermals: Carry top and bottom thermals.
Sunglasses To protect from UV rays and sunlight in snow.
